Finishing Touches
The Wascana Lake Urban Revitalization Project is now complete. In addition to deepening the lake to 5.5 metres, several enhancements were incorporated into the project to provide a foundation for future growth and improvements at Wascana Centre in the years to come.
| A new promenade and pedway at Albert Street Bridge connects the north and south pedestrian paths around the lake and provide a safe, scenic vantage point for park users. |

Pine Island was created at the historic Broad Street Bridge abutment with a waterfall to increase aeration. |

| A larger, reshaped Wascana Hill enhances tobogganing and recreation opportunities and provides a scenic viewpoint. |

Discovery Island, a new island in the east lake is a federal migratory bird sanctuary. Willow Island and Spruce Island have also been enlarged. |
| A new floating fountain directly north from the Legislative Building increases aeration. |
